You are right, open source works, because there are volunteers.

I think das dope described the reality. We all know the feeling when we do some work volunteerly and realize that it's even more work than expected, don't we?

There are many good programmers out there and some of them even know how to handle PHPbb and the codes. But after applying for an open-source-project, most people realize that programming Open Source is one hell-of-a-work and nobody pays you for the time you spend doing some lines.
If you're in a devteam, you get a lot of reputation (if the program is well-known) but the other team-members

As i said, we will use the community coding projects to seek for potential members. We also look for potential members within our own teams.

Apart from this being active within our modding community and our forums in general is a must (else we will not see the people).

What does not help and brings nothing than wasted time is writing an essay about what someone can do and can't.

So phpBB is looking for developers? I can imagine how hard it must be to find someone willing to devote as much time to the project as psoTFX did, especially when phpBB is open source and FREEWARE. However, how might one go about "applying" for a position on the elustrious phpBB developement team?
